Increasing Rice’s international reach is a key point in Rice University’s Vision for the Second Century (v2c see http://www.rice.edu/v2c) as outlined by President David Leebron. The George R. Brown School of Engineering takes pride in its worldwide reputation for excellence in education and research, which is the result of our faculty’s scholarly contributions and the leadership roles our graduates hold in universities, industry, and public service.

One of the challenges facing the school today is to expand our current reputation and register a global impact on academic research, educational tools and methods, and technology creation and transfer. The purpose of this website is to highlight the existing international activities within the School of Engineering and to encourage more international engagement among faculty and students.
