9:00am - 4:30pm
Rice University
Duncan Hall - McMurtry Auditorium
Please join us on Friday, December 7, 2007 as we celebrate the life and accomplishments of Ken Kennedy. Ken founded Rice University's nationally ranked computer-science program and has been one of the world's foremost experts in high-performance computing. With his untimely death, on February 7, 2007, after a long battle with cancer, Rice lost one of its great intellectual leaders. This workshop is dedicated to Ken's several dozens graduate students, whom he treasured throughout his academic career. The program features talks by several of Ken's students, spanning the spectrum from senior to junior, and including one "academic grandchild".
